Job summary

Broadreach Limited seeks an experienced Fabricator to join a skilled team working on marine vessels. The role involves fabrication, assembly and installation of steel and structural components across new builds and vessel maintenance.

You will read technical drawings, weld, cut and finish metalwork, and collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure high quality and safety on every project.

Qualifications

• Previous fabrication experience, ideally in marine, shipbuilding or similar heavy engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong practical fabrication and welding skills.
• Confident with steel and structural components.
• Produces high‑quality work and adheres to safety procedures.
• Works safely and follows site procedures, and can work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble steel and structural components.

We are looking for an experienced Fabricator to join a skilled team working on marine vessels. This is a hands‑on role involving the fabrication, assembly and installation of steel and structural components across both new‑build and in‑service boats.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Fabricating and assembling steel and structural components
• Working from technical drawings and specifications
• Installing structural components onboard marine vessels
• Carrying out welding, cutting, grinding and general fabrication work
• Working on both new‑build projects and vessel maintenance/refit work
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety
• Working effectively as part of a wider engineering and production team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in fabrication, ideally within marine, shipbuilding or a similar heavy engineering environment
• Can read and interpret technical drawings
• Has strong practical fabrication and welding skills
• Is confident working with steel and structural components
• Takes pride in producing high‑quality work
• Works safely and follows site procedures
• Can work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
