Job summary

Matchtech in Pembroke is seeking an experienced fabricator or welder for a minimum 2‑month contract based in Pembroke, with an immediate start and approx. 50 hours per week.

Marine experience is ideal but candidates from other engineering backgrounds will be considered. You will read engineering drawings, fabricate and modify steel structures, and MIG weld to high quality standards while maintaining health and safety compliance.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced fabricator or welder (or Fabricator/Welder) for a minimum 2-month contract based in Pembroke.

Marine experience would be ideal, although candidates from other engineering and industrial backgrounds will also be considered. Reliability, commitment, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality work to project deadlines are essential.

Fabricator Requirements

• Proven fabrication and fitting experience

• Ability to work independently and within a team

Welder Requirements

• Proven MIG welding experience
• Ability to weld from engineering drawings and specifications
• Consistently high standard of workmanship

• Ability to work independently and within a team

Preferred Experience

• Marine or vessel-related experience
• Heavy engineering, industrial manufacturing or similar environments
• Relevant fabrication or welding qualifications
