Job summary

Whittaker Engineering in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, is seeking experienced Fabricator/Platers to join our team. You will work with ferrous and non‑ferrous plate, interpret engineering drawings, and contribute to offshore and site-based projects as required.

This role offers a 39-hour week with overtime and a competitive remuneration package, and daily commuting to the Stonehaven facility is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with plate metals (ferrous and non-ferrous).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Time-served fabricator/plater background.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate/plate work to engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret drawings accurately for fabrication tasks.
• Occasional offshore and site-based work as required.

Job description

Due to ongoing expansion, Whittaker Engineering are seeking experienced, time-served Fabricator/Platers to join our team at our Stonehaven facility.

Applicants should have proven experience working with a wide range of plate, including both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Pipefitting experience would be advantageous. The ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.

Valid offshore certification would be beneficial, although this is not a requirement.

Hourly rates are dependent on experience and are based on a 39-hour working week. Overtime opportunities are also available.

This position is based in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, with opportunities for offshore and site-based work when required.
