Job summary

Aspirare Recruitment is seeking a Fabricator for an ongoing contract in Glasgow. The role is predominantly workshop-based, split around fabrication and MIG welding of mild and stainless steel, with occasional aluminium.

You will fabricate structural beams, staircases, and bespoke steelwork, and work from technical drawings. The position requires accurate measurement, cutting, forming and preparation of materials, plus the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience with mild steel fabrication

• MIG welding experience
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Responsibilities

Job description

Fabricator (Ongoing Contract)

Asa Fabricator this position is 95% workshop-based and is structured with the project being 80% fabrication and 20% MIG welding working with mild and secondary steel and sometimes aluminium

The daily fabrication work includes fabricating structural steel beams, staircases, and bespoke steelwork, you will carry out gearbox repairs and associated fabrication work inclusive of measuring, cutting, forming, and preparing materials accurately

you will also be required to read and work from technical drawings

Essential Skills:

• Experience with mild steel and stainless steel fabrication
• MIG welding experience
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Desirable:

• Aluminium welding experience
