Job summary

Power Electrics is seeking an experienced Fabrication Production Manager to lead our fabrication workshop and related facilities. You will ensure safe, efficient production that meets quality standards and delivery timelines, while guiding a team of around nine staff.

You will drive improvements in productivity, waste reduction and cost control, while maintaining safe working practices and adherence to company procedures. DBS checks may be required for the role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a fabrication or manufacturing workshop.
• Experience supervising and developing a production team.
• Strong production planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of quality control, cost management and continuous improvement.
• A sound understanding of workshop health and safety requirements.
• Good communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication workshop and paint spray booth.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor production activities to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
• Review production schedules, prioritise workloads and allocate resources.
• Assess labour, materials, equipment and capacity requirements for planning.
• Provide daily supervision and leadership to a team of approximately 9 employees.
• Promote a positive, professional and collaborative working environment and safety.
