Job summary

Proactive Personnel Ltd is recruiting an experienced production supervisor for a client in Birmingham to oversee the fabrication department on PM shifts. You will lead welders and fabricators, ensure safety, quality, and delivery against engineering specs.

The role is permanent with a salary up to £32,000–£38,000 per annum, with responsibilities including reading CAD drawings, workload allocation, and stock management while maintaining ISO and Health & Safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous production supervision experience required.
• FLT licence is advantageous (in date).
• Experience reading CAD drawings and interpreting engineering specs.
• Ability to manage workloads and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workshop operations and supervise welders and fabricators.
• Read technical CAD drawings, allocate workloads, and monitor productivity.
• Ensure fabrication quality meets ISO standards and health & safety regulations.
• Coordinate material stock and production planning.
