Job summary

Power Electrics is seeking an experienced Fabrication Production Manager to lead and manage our fabrication production operations in the UK. You will oversee day-to-day workshop activities, including the paint spray booth, and ensure work is completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

You will plan production schedules, allocate resources and monitor performance while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a fabrication or manufacturing workshop.
• Experience supervising and developing a production team.
• Strong production planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of quality control, cost management and continuous improvement.
• A sound understanding of workshop health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication workshop and paint spray booth.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor production activities to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Review production schedules, prioritise workloads and allocate resources to meet operational demands.
• Identify potential production delays and implement appropriate solutions.
• Provide daily supervision and leadership to a team of approximately 9 employees.
• Promote a positive, professional and collaborative working environment.
• Support employee training, skills development and performance management.
• Ensure employees understand and comply with company procedures, safe working practices and operational requirements.
• Review existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor production performance and use relevant information to support operational decision-making.
• Minimise material waste, unnecessary costs, rework and production downtime.
• Maintain and monitor the quality of fabricated products, container conversions, paint finishes and rental fleet repairs.
• Identify opportunities to control costs without compromising safety, quality or delivery commitments.
• Escalate significant budgetary or operational issues to the Director.
