Job summary

Premier Placement Services is seeking Fabrication Technicians for a well-established manufacturer of specialist optical components in the Leicester area.

You will program, set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to cut, mill, shape, polish and bevel optical components, working to micron-level tolerances and maintaining high quality and cleanliness standards. Shifts are Mon-Fri 6-2 and 2-10 with a generous shift allowance; attractive salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines.
• Experience manufacturing precision components to tight dimensional tolerances.
• Experience working to micron-level tolerances.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision infrared and visible optical components to customer specifications.

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established and thriving manufacturer of specialist products who supply to a wide variety of industries globally.

They are currently seeking a number of Fabrication Technicians to join their team, working Mon-Fri 6-2 and 2-10 shifts, for which a generous shift allowance is paid.

You will be responsible for the manufacture of precision infrared and visible optical components to exacting customer specifications.

You will program, set and operate CNC machinery to cut, mill, shape, polish and bevel optical components, working to micron level tolerances and maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness and workmanship.
