Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Fabric Operative in Brighton to carry out fabric maintenance across university buildings. The role focuses on painting, plumbing and fabric repairs, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliable record-keeping.

You will perform both planned and reactive maintenance, maintain Maximo records, and work as part of a team within a facilities management environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabric maintenance within large facilities or buildings.
• Ability to perform painting, decorating, plumbing and fabric repairs.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance (PPMs) and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting, plumbing and fabric repairs across buildings.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks as directed.
• Keep accurate records and update the CAFM system (Maximo).
• Follow Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Brief

Fabric Operative needed for a large Facilities Management organisation based in Brighton who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Fabric Operative that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge in Fabric maintenance, including painting and decorating, planned and reactive maintenance and a good team player.

The successful candidate will come from a strong Fabric maintenance background with previous experience carrying out PPMs.
