Job summary

Winner Recruitment is recruiting for a Fabric Engineer on behalf of a leading facilities management provider in Liverpool. The role requires fabric maintenance, handyman duties and general building maintenance within a busy commercial site.

You will work 4 on, 4 off with day and night shifts and overtime opportunities. The successful candidate will support the engineering team with planned and reactive maintenance, respond to boilerhouse tasks, and ensure all work complies with health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience as Fabric Engineer or similar.
• Experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to support wider team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive maintenance requests within the boilerhouse.
• Carry out general painting and decorating to maintain the facility.
• Complete routine statutory monitoring and record utility readings.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and maintenance records.
• General cleaning and housekeeping within the boilerhouse.
• Assist Mechanical and Electrical Engineers with maintenance activities.
• Answer maintenance calls and respond to site requests.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with additional tasks as required.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x and 2x standard hourly rate
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights) | 7:00am - 7:00pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in fabric maintenance, handyman duties, general building maintenance or labouring who is looking to join a well-established business with excellent overtime opportunities.

The Role

As a Fabric Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard, supporting the wider engineering team with both planned and reactive maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to reactive maintenance requests within the boilerhouse.
• Carrying out general painting and decorating to maintain the facility.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Handyman, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker, Building Maintenance Operative or similar.
• General fabric maintenance skills, including basic repairs and painting & decorating.
• Experience working within commercial, industrial or other high-profile environments.
