Responsibilities

• Perform minor carpentry/joinery tasks.
• Conduct flooring installations and repairs.
• Execute tiling, plastering, and patch repairs.
• Handle painting, decorating, and making good.
• Manage minor roofing and weatherproofing tasks.

Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.

We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to join their team.

The main purpose of this Fabric Engineer role is building-fabric repairs and maintenance across commercial premises, reactive and planned, keeping buildings safe, compliant, and presentable.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £18.40ph depending on experience plus enhanced overtime.

This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be 45 hour working week plus overtime when required.

Reporting to the hiring manager your responsibilities will include:

• Minor Carpentry/joinery skills — doors, frames, ironmongery, locks, closers, skirting, fixtures
• Flooring (vinyl/safety flooring, matting) - Not essential.
• Tiling, plastering, and patch repairs
• Painting, decorating, and making good
• Minor roofing/weatherproofing, guttering, sealant/mastic, brickwork pointing
• General Building Knowledge - Making good
• Basic non-trade plumbing (taps, traps, leaks) and general fixings
• Survey fabric defects and capture information for quotations
• Reactive call-outs, planned works, project works and survey/quote information

The ideal candidate:

• time-served or proven multi-trade fabric/carpentry background
• commercial/occupied-building experience;
• CSCS card.
• manual UK driving licence
• willingness for occasional national travel and stay aways
• positive attitude
