Job summary

HVAC Recruitment is seeking a reliable Fabric Engineer for an East London site, delivering general building fabric maintenance on a commercial estate. The role suits someone with a multi-skilled background and a proactive approach, with Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 hours and an immediate start.

You will handle carpentry, painting, plastering, basic plumbing, and responsive repairs, using a site system to log works.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled trade background including carpentry, painting and general maintenance.
• Experience in facilities management or maintenance environment.
• Good attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general fabric repairs (carpentry, painting/decorating, plastering, minor building repairs).
• Repair doors, locks and furniture as required.
• Perform basic plumbing and drainage tasks.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete planned fabric tasks.
• Record and report completed works accurately in the site system.

We're looking for a reliable Fabric Engineer to join a Facilities Management team based in East London, carrying out general building fabric maintenance across a commercial site. This Fabric Engineer position offers steady weekday hours and ongoing work.

Fabric Engineer — what you'll be doing:

• General fabric repairs — carpentry, painting/decorating, plastering, minor building repairs
• Door, lock, and furniture repairs
• Basic plumbing and drainage tasks
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests and completing PPM fabric tasks
• Reporting completed works accurately via the site system

As Fabric Engineer, you'll need:

• Previous experience in a facilities management or maintenance environment
