Job summary

HVAC Total FM Recruitment is seeking a Fabric Engineer to carry out reactive maintenance and general building repairs across commercial sites in Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent. The role covers fabric repairs, joinery, plumbing, minor electrical works and general maintenance.

Key duties include completing repairs, managing jobs across multiple sites, and producing maintenance reports. A full UK driving licence and flexible overtime availability are essential components of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or building maintenance.
• Broad knowledge of fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to perform joinery, plumbing and general repairs to a good standard.
• Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive fabric maintenance across commercial sites.
• Perform joinery, plumbing and general repairs to a high standard.
• Conduct minor electrical tasks where competent.
• Complete small works and minor projects.
• Fault find and identify remedial works.
• Manage and prioritise jobs across multiple sites.
• Complete job sheets and maintenance reports.
• Liaise with customers and site contacts.

Fabric Engineer

Location: Manchester / Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 + Door-to-Door Pay
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are looking for a Fabric Engineer to carry out reactive maintenance and general building repairs across commercial sites.

The role will cover fabric repairs, joinery, plumbing, minor electrical works and general maintenance.

Duties

• Carry out reactive building and fabric maintenance

• Complete joinery, basic plumbing and general repairs

• Carry out minor electrical works where competent

• Complete small works and minor projects

• Fault find and identify remedial works

• Manage jobs across multiple customer sites

• Complete job sheets and maintenance reports

• Liaise with customers and site contacts

Requirements

• Previous FM or building maintenance experience

• Good all-round fabric maintenance knowledge

• Experience with joinery, plumbing and general repairs

• Basic electrical knowledge beneficial

• Comfortable working independently in a mobile role

• Full UK driving licence

• Flexible towards overtime when required
