Job summary

Winner Recruitment is recruiting a Fabric Engineer for a busy commercial site in Liverpool. The role involves responding to reactive maintenance, painting and decorating, and supporting the engineering team with planned and reactive tasks.

The position offers 4 on, 4 off shifts (days/nights), £15.00 per hour PAYE, and overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x. A full UK driving licence is required, with ongoing training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fabric Engineer or in related maintenance roles.
• Experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to support the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive maintenance requests in the boilerhouse.
• Carry out general painting and decorating.
• Record routine monitoring and utility readings.
• Maintain shift logs and maintenance records.
• Assist engineers with planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Answer maintenance calls and site requests.

Winner Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management provider for a Fabric Engineer to join a busy, high-profile commercial site in Liverpool.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in fabric maintenance, handyman duties, general building maintenance or labouring who is looking to join a well-established business with excellent overtime opportunities.

The Role

As a Fabric Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard, supporting the wider engineering team with both planned and reactive maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to reactive maintenance requests within the boilerhouse.
• Carrying out general painting and decorating to maintain the facility.
• Completing routine statutory monitoring and recording utility readings.
• Maintaining accurate shift logs and maintenance records.
• General cleaning and housekeeping within the boilerhouse.
• Assisting Mechanical and Electrical Engineers with planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Answering maintenance calls and responding to site requests.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Supporting the Maintenance Supervisor with any additional maintenance tasks as required.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Handyman, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker, Building Maintenance Operative or similar.
• General fabric maintenance skills, including basic repairs and painting & decorating.
• Experience working within commercial, industrial or other high-profile environments.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider maintenance team.
• Full UK driving licence.
