Job summary

Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology invites applications for an Industrial Placement in the Structures Department. You will contribute to the structural design, analysis and performance of the car and work with the design office to sign off components and assemblies.

You will learn to prepare, run, and post-process FEA models, perform supporting hand calculations, and develop tools to improve efficiency. Eligible candidates are returning to higher education for at least one year after

Qualifications

• Must be returning to higher education to study for at least 1 year after placement.
• Interest in structural mechanics and modelling is beneficial.
• Exposure to FEA and materials science topics is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the structural design, analysis and performance of the car.
• Collaborate with design office groups to provide feedback and sign-off for components and assemblies.
• Learn to prepare, run, and post-process FEA models.
• Provide supporting hand calculations for concept development and sign-off.
• Develop tools and processes to improve group efficiency.
• Develop physical testing routines and appraise data from R&D lab.
• Understand loading regimes from track data and communicate results.
• Provide factory Ops Room support during a Race Weekend.
