Job summary

Mercedes AMG HPP in the UK offers a Materials Engineering Placement Student role within our Technology Centre. You will manage your own materials R&D projects, developing materials characterization skills and contributing to performance and durability of the Hybrid Power Unit.

You will gain hands-on access to a wide range of equipment and work with world-class teams, with opportunities to see ideas raced in F1 and influence future technologies.

Qualifications

• We are looking for curious, tenacious and driven individuals who thrive in a fast paced environment.
• On track to achieve a 2.1 degree, or above, in Materials Engineering/Metallurgy or related degree.
• A strong academic background in relevant A-Level disciplines (maths/science).
• An excellent understanding of engineering first principles.
• Hands-on experience to complement academic studies.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and innovative engineers who want to solve problems.
• Courage to challenge and be challenged to expand technical knowledge.
