Job summary

McLaren Racing is offering a two-year Engineering Graduate Programme in which you rotate through Aerodynamics, Design, Racing and Performance to build broad engineering experience.

Starting in September 2027 in Woking, you will contribute to our performance on and off the track and learn how a Formula 1 team operates while developing practical engineering solutions with a collaborative, high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering, Mathematics or a scientific discipline, with a minimum 2:1 classification or equivalent.
  • General computing skills and software knowledge relevant to engineering environments.
  • An interest in developing practical engineering solutions, supported by strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant technical tools, such as CAD software for design-based placements, would be useful.

Responsibilities

  • Complete placements across a range of Engineering functions, including Aerodynamics, Design, Racing and Performance.
  • Apply your technical knowledge to meaningful engineering challenges and contribute to team performance.
  • Support race weekends throughout the season as required.
  • Manage your work effectively, communicate progress and report outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Share your knowledge, learn from colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.
