Job summary

McLaren Racing is seeking ambitious graduates to join a two-year Engineering Graduate Programme starting in September 2027. You will rotate through Aerodynamics, Design, Racing and Performance, gaining broad experience of how a Formula 1 team operates while contributing to performance on and off the track.

You will work with cross-functional teams, tackle engineering challenges, and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced racing environment, supported by mentoring and structured development

Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering, Mathematics or a scientific discipline with a minimum 2:1 classification or equivalent.
  • General computing skills and software knowledge relevant to engineering environments.
  • An interest in developing practical engineering solutions, supported by strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of CAD software for design-based placements would be useful.

Responsibilities

  • Complete placements across a range of Engineering functions, including Aerodynamics, Design, Racing and Performance.
  • Apply your technical knowledge to meaningful engineering challenges and contribute to team performance.
  • Support race weekends throughout the season as required.
  • Manage your work effectively, communicate progress and report outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Share your knowledge, learn from colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.
