Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a part-time Food and Beverage Team Leader to manage and support a café team in a busy, guest-facing setting. You’ll work 22.5 hours per week in a rural location, focusing on front-of-house service and ensuring a day-to-day standard of excellence.

You’ll receive induction and allergen/food safety training, with opportunities for further professional development. You’ll help develop a team committed to great service and memorable visits.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; a passion for delivering great service is essential.
• Ability to lead, support and develop a team to maintain high standards.
• Well-organised and adaptable to a busy, guest-facing environment.
• Confident when dealing with a variety of situations including complaints.
• Willing to learn new skills and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision to the café team to ensure great service.
• Focus on front-of-house duties, serving customers with a positive attitude.
• Supervise induction and training of colleagues to build a strong team.
• Assist with displays, signs and basic food prep as needed.
• Support kitchen colleagues when required and uphold food safety standards.
