Job summary

Burlington Hotel in the Scottish Highlands is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our restaurant, bar, breakfast service, and café. This hands-on supervisory role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving a high-performance hospitality team.

You will work across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts, including café cover, act as a key holder for opening and closing procedures, and support training, standards and compliance within a busy hotel

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in hospitality or hotel operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment.
• Flexible to varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Personal Licence qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily operation of restaurant, bar, breakfast service, and café.
• Lead, motivate, and assist team members to deliver excellent service.
• Ensure guests have a warm, friendly, and professional experience.
• Open and close departments as key holder.
• Assist with staff training, induction, and development.
• Monitor service standards and cleanliness.
• Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, licensing, health and safety, and policies.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and cash handling procedures.
• Support other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
