Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Exeter is seeking a confident F&B Supervisor to oversee the 8th Floor View Restaurant. You will lead by example, deliver high standards of service, and ensure product quality and presentation for every guest.

You will work hands-on during service, supporting the team with evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a busy hospitality setting. Training and development opportunities are provided within a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Restaurant environment with supervisory or shift-leading responsibility.
• Experience in Meeting & Events is advantageous.
• Education: High School completion; at least 2 years related work experience and 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Restaurant team during service to ensure an efficient operation and guest satisfaction.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, checks, cleaning, and securing bar/service areas.
• Maintain grooming, uniform, and professional standards across the team.
• Support stock control activities including inventory checks and correct storage/rotation (FIFO).
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene procedures and report hazards or incidents.
• Assist with training, coaching, scheduling support, and motivating the team on shift.
• Handle guest feedback confidently and resolve issues during service.
• Support effective bar operations including organization and stock accuracy under pressure.
