Job summary

Scarlet is a restaurant and lounge in Cornwall, delivering thoughtful hospitality and exceptional service to every guest. As a Food & Beverage Host, you will welcome guests, manage reservations and seating, and help the team deliver a seamless dining experience with a calm, friendly presence.

We value someone who is warm, organised and attentive, with strong communication and teamwork. A background in hospitality is advantageous, and a true passion for great service is key.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or guest-facing experience is advantageous.
• Ability to manage reservations and seating plans with care.
• Knowledge of menus, drinks and dietary requirements is helpful.

We're looking for a Food & Beverage Host to join the team at Scarlet, where thoughtful hospitality, exceptional service and meaningful guest experiences are at the heart of everything we do.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Food & Beverage Host, you'll help ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and an outstanding dining experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests with warmth, confidence and genuine hospitality
• Managing reservations and coordinating seating plans to support smooth service
• Building strong knowledge of menus, drinks, specials and dietary requirements
• Supporting the restaurant team to deliver a seamless guest experience
• Communicating effectively with kitchen and front of house teams throughout service
• Responding to guest requests with care, professionalism and attention to detail
• Maintaining beautifully presented and inviting guest areas
• Helping create a calm, relaxed atmosphere, even during busy services
• Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting colleagues when needed

About You
