Job summary

Scarlet Kitchen is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join our busy, luxury hotel kitchen in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall. You will support daily service, keep the kitchen clean, manage deliveries and stock, and help maintain high hygiene standards.

The role suits someone with a positive attitude who enjoys teamwork and wants to grow in hospitality. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.71–£13.45 with a performance boost and a share of hotel tips, typically around £1 extra per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is helpful but isn't essential; we’re looking for the right attitude.

• Washing and maintaining kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils to the highest standards
• Supporting our chefs during busy service periods
• Receiving deliveries and keeping stock and storage areas organised

Kitchen Assistant

Scarlet Kitchen | Mawgan Porth, Cornwall

£12.71–£13.45 per hour with Performance Boost + share of hotel tips (around £1 per hour extra)

40 hours per week | 5 days out of 7 | Fixed 8-hour shifts

Shift patterns:

• 7:00am – 3:00pm
• 8:00am – 4:00pm
• 3:00pm – 11:00pm
