Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is recruiting a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our vibrant team. You will welcome guests, take orders, and deliver outstanding service across our bar and restaurant outlets.

The role includes talking confidently about menus, upselling, and maintaining high hygiene standards, with late-evening and weekend shifts required. Training is provided, and we offer a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy bar or restaurant preferred but not required.
• Excellent guest communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work late evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• As a food and beverage assistant, duties include those of a waiter or bartender.
• Greet guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Deliver a great guest experience from start to finish.
• Confidently discuss menus, offer upsells and engage guests.
• Take orders and ensure guest needs are met.
• Maintain cleaning and high hygiene standards.
• Support other outlets as required for smooth resort operation.

The Brabazon Bar

The Brabazon Bar is the heart ofour resort, and the ideal meeting place. The bar is a versatile space, servinglight dishes and coffees during the morning, afternoon tea, and hand-craftedcocktails in the evening. The bar is home to live music during the weekend.

The on target earning potentialfor this role is£12.91, compromising of a base hourly rate of £12.21 plusa qualified estimate of £0.70 gratuities per hour.

About the role

This role will require latenights in the week and weekend working.

• Asa food and beverage assistant, your duties include all those of a waiter orbartender
• Towelcome all guests a polite and friendly manner
• Todeliver a great experience from beginning to end
• Toconfidently talk about our menus, offer upsells and enthusiastically
• Totake orders from our guests and proactively ensure that all their needs are met
• Cleaningand good hygiene practices are a large part of this role
• Towork across any of the outlets that are in need of assistance to ensure thesmooth running of the resort as a whole

About you

Previous experience in a busybar or restaurant would be preferred, but you don’t need experience to startyour career with us at The Belfry Hotel and Resort. We have a great team thatwill train you give you all of the skills you need to be successful. If you dohave previous experience that’s great, we will take your skills and elevatethem in a department where you feel you would be the best fit.
