Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a Cocktail Bartender to join its vibrant bar team. You will create and serve cocktails and a range of beverages, greet guests warmly, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience across the resort’s outlets.

Training is provided, with opportunities to develop your skills in a dynamic hospitality environment. Late nights during the week and weekends are required, and you will be supported by a team committed to great service, guest

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy cocktail bar or hotel bar preferred.
• Willingness to learn and develop bar skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality beverages with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and serve a wide range of cocktails, wines, spirits and beverages to guests.
• Welcome guests in a polite, friendly and professional manner.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.
• Confidently talk about drinks menus and promotions, upselling where appropriate.
• Prepare cocktails to a consistently high standard with presentation in mind.
• Take orders efficiently and ensure guests' needs are met.
• Maintain hygiene, stock rotation and health & safety practices.
• Work across outlets as needed to ensure smooth resort operations.

Salary

The base annual rate for this role is £12.71 per hour, plus service charge.

About the Role

This role will require late nights during the week and weekend working.

• As a Cocktail Bartender, you will be responsible for creating and serving a wide range of cocktails, mixed drinks, wines, spirits and beverages to our guests
• To welcome all guests in a polite, friendly and professional manner
• To deliver an exceptional guest experience from beginning to end
• To confidently talk about our drinks menus, signature cocktails and promotions, whilst identifying opportunities to upsell
• To prepare cocktails to a consistently high standard, ensuring presentation and quality are maintained at all times
• To take orders from guests efficiently and proactively ensure that all their needs are met
• Cleaning, stock rotation and excellent hygiene practices are a large part of this role
• To maintain a safe and organised bar environment, following all licensing and health & safety regulations
• To work across any of the resort's outlets that require assistance, ensuring the smooth running of the resort as a whole

About You

Previous experience in a busy cocktail bar, hotel bar or hospitality environment would be preferred, but you don't need experience to start your career with us at The Belfry Hotel and Resort. We have a great team that will provide training and give you all the skills you need to be successful. If you do have previous experience, that's great. We will help develop your skills and elevate your career within a department where you can thrive.
