Job summary

Surya Hotels’ Hog’s Back Hotel is seeking a Food & Beverage Team Member to support the restaurant and bar operations and maximise guest experience. You will join a friendly team on a wooded ridge location near Guildford, with opportunities to learn and progress within the group.

The role offers development through apprenticeships, accredited training, and internal progression, plus flexible hours and staff benefits. Join us to grow with a dynamic hospitality family.

Qualifications

• A positive, can do attitude towards all customers and team.
• Thirst for knowledge toward learning all things food and drink, spirits, wines and the perfect serve.
• Willingness to learn different food styles and how to explain dishes to customers.
• Great communicator who enjoys interacting with customers in a lively environment.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments with great service.
• Meet site standards of service and work with the team to deliver a great guest experience.
• Develop understanding of serving coffees, alcohol and wine in bar and restaurant settings.
• Assist with opening and closing shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a pro rata basis.
• Continue development through in-house and external training.
