Job summary

Best Practice Network is recruiting a trainee trainer to plan and support from interview stage through to completion of the EYTT programme. You will deliver high-quality training and assessment for trainees aiming to achieve Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) in the education sector.

The role involves assessments, training delivery, and coordination with mentors, line managers, and employers, ensuring timely evidence in Mosaic and adherence to safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a qualification or have experience in the subject area
• Up-to-date industry knowledge
• Hold Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications
• Experience of working with employers in a training or customer relations role

Responsibilities

• Assess termly skills with trainees and identify gaps against EYITT themes
• Complete workplace visits and observations with mentors and lead trainers
• Maintain records for individual trainees
• Support delivery of curriculum mastery to meet Teacher Standards (EY)
• Provide feedback to learners using the Mosaic portfolio system
• Develop tailored action plans for trainees
• Deliver training using approved resources across curriculum themes
• Provide tutorials on Prevent, British values, personal development and safeguarding
• Monitor trainee progress and manage evidence uploads
• Coordinate placements and liaise with schools/hosts
• Prepare documentation and evidence for programme milestones
• Support quality assurance and safeguarding activities
• Assist with interview processes and employer engagement
