Job summary

Best Practice Network is seeking an Early Years tutor assessor in City of London. The role involves training and assessing trainees to achieve Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), from interview through to programme completion.

You will conduct termly reviews, observe learners in placements, and support curriculum mastery and safeguarding. The position offers significant interaction with employers and a commitment to high educational standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a qualification or have experience in the subject area.
• Have up-to-date industry knowledge.
• Hold Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.
• Have experience of working with employers in a training or customer relations role.
• Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers and learners.
• Have strong IT skills and be willing to work with e-portfolios.
• Can motivate learners and ensure they complete on time.
• Hold a full driving licence, have own vehicle and be willing to travel to customer sites.
• Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative.
• Hold an assessor qualification.
• Hold an IV/IQA qualification.
• Experience of working in Further Education or a similar environment.
• Early Years Advanced Practitioner or Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Complete termly skills reviews with trainees and identify skills and knowledge gaps.
• Training: Develop action plans and deliver training resources.
• Coordination and Support: Monitor progress and manage evidence uploads.
• Administration: Complete documentation for new trainees and program milestones.
• Other: Deliver CPD and support safeguarding and equality initiatives.
