Job summary

North East Ambition is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Pelton Primary School. You will work closely with teachers and the SENDCO to support pupils with a range of needs and deliver targeted interventions.

The role involves creating an inclusive, nurturing learning environment, promoting pupil wellbeing, independence and progress, and building positive relationships with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
• A commitment to inclusion and helping every child succeed.

Grade: 3

Hours: 37 hours per week during term time plus 2 weeks

Start date: October 2026

About the Role

Employment Conditions
