Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is delighted to be working with a wonderful primary school in Lancaster that is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full‑time basis.

This role involves supporting the delivery of phonics, assisting with speech and language development, and working with small groups and individuals to nurture children's social, emotional and academic growth in a creative, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS or with young children.
• Passionate about supporting early learning and development.
• Good understanding of phonics and early communication skills.
• Patient, enthusiastic and nurturing in approach.
• Enjoy engaging children through creative activities and imaginative play.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high‑quality phonics sessions.
• Assist children with speech and language development.
• Encourage participation in creative and hands‑on learning activities.
• Support children's social, emotional and academic development.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils as required.
• Help create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
