Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is delighted to be working with a wonderful primary school in Lancaster that is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full‑time basis.

This role involves supporting the delivery of phonics, assisting with speech and language development, and working with small groups and individuals to nurture children's social, emotional and academic growth in a creative, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS or with young children.

EYFS Teaching Assistant

Veritas Education is delighted to be working with a wonderful primary school in Lancaster that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nurturing and creative setting with excellent indoor and outdoor learning spaces, where children are encouraged to explore, discover and develop a love of learning from the very start of their educational journey.

The Role

Working alongside experienced teaching staff, you will support children across the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them to develop key skills through engaging activities, structured learning and play‑based experiences. This position is likely to continue for the full academic year.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the delivery of high‑quality phonics sessions
• Assisting children with speech and language development
• Encouraging participation in creative and hands‑on learning activities
• Supporting children's social, emotional and academic development
• Working with small groups and individual pupils where required
