Job summary

Sidegate Primary School in Ipswich, Suffolk, is seeking two caring Teaching Assistants to join our welcoming team. You will support learning, inclusion and pupil wellbeing, working closely with teachers to help pupils, including those with additional needs, make meaningful progress.

Previous EYFS experience is desirable. This part-time, permanent role offers 32.5 hours across Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30) during term time plus 38.2 weeks, with ALT Grade D salary £19,349.38 - £19,809.06 annually

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in early years settings.
• Ability to work with teachers to deliver activities.
• Desirable EYFS experience.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and small groups to access learning and make progress.
• Deliver planned learning activities under teacher guidance, adapting support to pupils' needs.
• Promote inclusion, independence, positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development, including personal care where required.
• Monitor, record and communicate pupil progress, working closely with staff, families and external professionals where appropriate.
