Job summary

Philosophy Education is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a Romford primary school on a full-time or part-time basis. You will assist the class teacher in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment.

The role includes 1:1 or small group support to develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills. A Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare/EYFS is required, with safeguarding responsibilities and a patient, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/EYFS required.
• Previous experience in EYFS or a primary school setting preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Passion for working with children; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils' learning, development and social interaction through play-based and structured activities.
• Provide 1:1 support or work with small groups, focusing on early literacy, numeracy and social skills.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care.
