Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support Nursery & Reception learners in Knowsley. This role runs during term time, 08:30 - 15:30, with daily rate of £95-£115 paid weekly, and requires a caring, patient approach in a nurturing primary setting.

You will help deliver the EYFS curriculum through play, provide phonics support with Read Write Inc, and assist with observing progress and safeguarding throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children in a UK school or EYFS setting.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
• Good written & verbal English.
• Commitment to long-term, full-time work.
• Professional references from recent employers.

Responsibilities

• Support the EYFS curriculum with play-based activities for communication, language and physical development.
• Provide one-on-one and small group phonics support using Read Write Inc.
• Assist the lead teacher with a purposeful and orderly learning environment indoors and outdoors.
• Contribute to pupil learning journeys by observing progress and sharing insights with teachers and parents.
• Support social and emotional wellbeing and positive peer interactions.
• Assist with personal care, snack times, and maintaining hygiene and safety.
