Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Toxteth (L8). You will support pupils across the early years curriculum, helping phonics, literacy and numeracy sessions, and assist with play-based learning to build confidence and independence.

We are seeking someone caring and patient with good communication skills, experience in a school setting, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS or early years settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive and adaptable approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing of children.
• Ability to support phonics, literacy and numeracy sessions.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum.
• Assist with phonics, literacy and numeracy sessions.
• Encourage learning through play and structured activities.
• Support individual pupils and small groups to meet learning goals.
• Maintain a safe, caring and inclusive classroom environment.
• Contribute to assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
