Job summary

Randstad Education in St Helens is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support Nursery and Reception learners in a mainstream primary setting. The role requires at least 6 months of EYFS experience and an Enhanced DBS check, with a focus on safe, inclusive play and early learning development.

You will assist the teacher with delivering the EYFS curriculum, tracking progress, and supporting social and emotional development in a warm, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience supporting children in a UK school or EYFS setting.

Responsibilities

• Learning Through Play: support EYFS curriculum with play-based activities.
• Individualised Support: provide one-on-one and small group intervention for early learning goals.
• Classroom Management: assist lead teacher to create a safe, orderly learning environment.
• Observation & Tracking: contribute to pupil learning journeys by observing and recording progress.
