Job summary

Horizon Teachers are seeking a passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Kingston upon Thames. You will support early years learning, development and readiness, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities.

Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare is required, with experience in EYFS, nursery or primary settings. You will uphold safeguarding and promote children's welfare while building confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EYFS qualification required.
• Experience in EYFS, nursery or primary settings preferred.
• Must understand safeguarding and promote children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging activities within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Assist children with learning, communication, social and emotional development.
• Support play-based learning and structured classroom activities.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
• Help develop early literacy, numeracy and physical skills.
• Observe progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet individual needs.
