Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Sparkhill. You will support teachers, assist with children's learning and routines, and help create a safe, inclusive environment that fosters social and emotional development.

Essential qualifications include Level 2/3 in Early Years or related childcare, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills. A paediatric first aid certificate is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a relevant childcare qualification.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and stimulating learning activities.
• Assist children with their learning, development and daily routines.
• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage children's social, emotional and communication skills.
• Support the implementation of the EYFS framework.
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure all children receive the support they need to thrive.
