Job summary

Our Lady Queen of Heaven RC Primary School in London invites applications for an Early Years Teaching Assistant. You will assist the class teacher to support learning through play, routines, and structured activities for children aged 3–5, within the EYFS framework.

The role focuses on developing social, emotional and academic growth, supporting children with additional needs, and working with parents to ensure a nurturing environment. Closing date: 01 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Years or primary setting.
• Familiarity with EYFS framework and child development.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEN).

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 3–5 in all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
• Work with individuals or small groups, including children with SEN.
• Assist with physical, emotional and social care of pupils.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
• Support behaviour management and promote positive social interactions.
• Assist with preparation of resources and classroom organisation.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to support development.
