Job summary

Ethos Education Ltd is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Kensington, West London from November. You will work alongside the class teacher to support early learning and development in a nurturing environment.

The role involves play-based activities, early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy, plus helping children with communication, social skills and independence. DBS checks will be required.

Qualifications

• EYFS knowledge and understanding.
• Experience in a Reception, nursery or Early Years setting preferred.
• Patient, energetic and proactive approach to supporting children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils through play-based activities and early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
• Help children develop communication, social skills and independence.
• Work with small groups and provide individual support to children with different learning needs.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
• Support the smooth running of activities and ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils.
