Job summary

St George's Primary School in Wallasey invites applications for an EYFS Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Band D, 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. You will support planning, delivery, and resources for early years pupils and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

We expect a passion for Early Years, experience with phonics and maths mastery, and a collaborative approach. The role offers professional development, a supportive team, and opportunities to engage with families.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a deep understanding of and passion for high-quality Early Years education.
• Experience in supporting high-quality classroom teaching, including phonics and mastery-based mathematics.
• Commitment to professional learning and development (All TAs have at least 50 hours of CPD a year as part of directed time).

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lessons on whole-class and individual bases.
• Prepare resources to support learning activities and ensure pupils are supported pastorally.
• Contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to teachers to meet learning needs.
