Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Streetly. The role involves 1:1 or small group support for children with a range of needs, with a strong EYFS understanding and commitment to high standards of care.

You will work alongside the class teacher, contribute to planning, assessment, and a positive learning environment, and enjoy flexible local assignments with potential for long-term or permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification or Level 6 Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Proven experience working with children within a primary school.
• Thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its application in planning, teaching, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement a well-structured curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Framework.
• Supervision of students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
• Provide additional learning support as identified.
• Engage, motivate, and encourage students to complete work set.
• Make sure all students are focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives.
• Support the class teacher to manage classroom behaviour.
• Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on student's progress and development.
• Help to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and fellow educators in the children's learning journey.
• Promote positive behaviour management techniques and establish clear boundaries.

Education
