Job summary

Aspire People are seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant in Streetly. This role targets a Level 3 TA with at least 1 year of experience to work 1:1 or with small groups in a primary school, focusing on the EYFS framework.

The successful candidate will support the curriculum, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers to foster a positive, engaging learning environment for young learners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children within a primary school.
• Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and its application in planning, teaching, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement a well-structured curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Framework.
• Supervision of students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
• Provide additional learning support as identified.
• Engage, motivate, and encourage students to complete work set.
• Make sure all students are focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives.
• Support the class teacher to manage classroom behaviour.
• Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on student's progress and development.
• Help to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and fellow educators in the children's learning journey.
• Promote positive behaviour management techniques and establish clear boundaries.

Skills

Level 3 TA qualification
