Job summary

GSL Education Leicester is seeking a qualified Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to support early years learners across local primary schools and nurseries in Leicestershire.

This role offers play-based learning, 1:1 and small-group support, and the chance to develop children’s communication, literacy, and numeracy in a nurturing environment, with term-time only hours.

Flexible working options available: full-time, part-time, or day-to-day supply.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
• Experience working within EYFS settings.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher within EYFS settings (Nursery, Preschool & Reception).
• Deliver and assist with play-based learning and continuous provision.
• Support children’s early communication, literacy, and numeracy development.
• Provide targeted support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
