Job summary

Mad 4 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to support a child with SEN within an EYFS setting in Sandbach. You will balance fun with learning, plan and deliver inclusive activities, and work closely with teaching staff and families.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 2-3 in Childcare, has safeguarding knowledge, and can monitor progress against EYFS goals while maintaining records and promoting positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2-3 or above in Childcare.
• Experience within Early Years.
• Experience working with children with SEN.
• Knowledge of planning and leading learning opportunities within EYFS.
• Safeguarding knowledge.
• Liaise with parents and carers when necessary.
• Monitor and evaluate children's responses to learning.
• Observe against EYFS objectives and learning goals.
• Keep records up to date and record progress.
• Promote positive attitudes to learning and behaviour.

Responsibilities

Job description

Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner who is looking for a change? Do you have experience of supporting children with SEN? Are you passionate about early intervention and support? If so, I would love to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who is able to balance fun with hard work and effectively support the needs of a child with SEN. You will be a caring individual who has the Early Years Knowledge that covers the full range of the curriculum, as well as the teaching and learning techniques that are needed to support/teach creatively.

You will need:

• NVQ Level 2-3 or above in Childcare
• Experience within Early Years
• Experience working with children with SEN
• Knowledge of planning and leading exciting play and learning opportunities that allow the children to explore, develop and progress within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• Safeguarding Knowledge
• Work alongside teaching staff to plan and evaluate as well as adjusting some learning and using intervention strategies when appropriate.
• Monitoring and evaluating children's responses to learning through planned activities.
• Observing and monitoring the children against the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as well as learning objectives set.
• Keep records up to date when required as well as recording achievement and progress.
• Promote positive attitudes to learning.
• Promoting positive behaviour and values throughout the school.
• Liaise with parents and careers when necessary.
