Empowering Learning is recruiting an EYFS Qualified Teaching Assistant for roles in the Jesmond/Newcastle area, offering temporary/contract work with daily pay. The role focuses on supporting early years education, play-based activities, and child development, while ensuring safeguarding and a nurturing environment.

Candidates should have Level 2/3 EYFS qualifications, nursery experience, and strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in busy nursery settings.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification is essential.

Location: Jesmond, Newcastle

Position: Full-Time

Contract Type: Temporary / Contract

Pay: £93-£110 per day

About the Role

As an EYFS Qualified Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting children through their early years development. You will:

• Support practitioners and teachers in providing high-quality early years education and care
• Help plan and deliver fun, engaging and play-based activities
• Support children's individual learning and development needs

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caring and dependable Early Years professionals who are passionate about working with young children.

Essential requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification - ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience working in a nursery, pre-school or Reception setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• A caring, patient and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and children's welfare
• Comfortable supporting children with personal care, including nappy changing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to purchase one
• Able to provide professional references covering your last 2 years of work and/or education history
• Reliable, committed and able to work as part of a busy Early Years team
