Job summary

Key Responsibilities of an EYFS Teacher:

As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a crucial role in laying strong foundations for children’s learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:

High-Quality Classroom Teaching: Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and stimulating lessons aligned with the EYFS framework, ensuring pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Child-Centred Learning: Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports every child’s individual needs, interests, and developmental stage.

Assessment & Progress Tracking: Carrying out observations, assessing pupil progress, maintaining learning journals, and using data to inform next steps and personalised learning.

Continuous Provision & Play-Based Learning: Designing and maintaining exciting indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage exploration, curiosity, and independence.

Parent & Carer Engagement: Building strong relationships with families, providing regular communication, and involving them in their child’s learning journey.

Contribution to School Life: Collaborating with the EYFS team and wider staff on planning, events, and initiatives, as well as contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

Experience teaching within EYFS (minimum 1 year)
