Job summary

Premier Education Ltd’s partners in Warrington are seeking an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary setting on a long-term, full-time basis.

You will support children in EYFS, including those with additional needs, through play, small-group work and targeted interaction, helping them communicate, socialise and regulate routines within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with children in EYFS, SEND or a similar setting
• Are calm, caring and able to build strong relationships with young children
• Understand that every child communicates and learns differently
• Are proactive, enthusiastic and happy to get involved in all aspects of Early Years
• Are looking for a long-term role where you can really become part of the school community

Responsibilities

• Supporting children within an Early Years setting, including pupils with additional needs
• Providing individual and small-group support where required
• Helping children develop their communication, social and emotional skills
• Supporting learning through play and engaging Early Years activities
• Helping children with routines, transitions and regulation
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team
• Creating a safe, positive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive
