Job summary

St Josephs in the United Kingdom is seeking an inspiring Reception Class Teacher to join our EYFS team. You will design and deliver a play-based curriculum that sparks curiosity and builds confidence in our youngest learners.

The role involves planning high-quality EYFS lessons, creating a safe indoor/outdoor space, ongoing assessment, and close collaboration with teaching assistants, nursery staff, the SENDCo, and parents to support every child’s learning journey.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering play-based learning within EYFS.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication with children, staff and parents.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, creative, and inclusive lessons aligned with the EYFS statutory framework.
• Create a stimulating, safe indoor and outdoor learning environment.
• Use ongoing formative assessment to track development and tailor next steps.
• Collaborate with EYFS teaching assistants, nursery team and SENDCo for seamless support.
• Build strong relationships with parents to support each child's learning journey.
