Job summary

St Josephs in the United Kingdom is seeking an inspiring Reception Class Teacher to join our EYFS team. You will design and deliver a play-based curriculum that sparks curiosity and builds confidence in our youngest learners.

The role involves planning high-quality EYFS lessons, creating a safe indoor/outdoor space, ongoing assessment, and close collaboration with teaching assistants, nursery staff, the SENDCo, and parents to support every child’s learning journey.

We are seeking an inspiring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join our fantastic EYFS team. As a Reception Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in welcoming our youngest learners into the school community. You will design and deliver a rich, play-based curriculum that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and fosters a deep sense of belonging. Key Responsibilities

• Inspirational Teaching: Plan and deliver high-quality, creative, and inclusive lessons aligned with the EYFS statutory framework.
• Child-Centred Learning: Create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing indoor and outdoor learning environment that encourages independent exploration.
• Assessment & Progress: Use ongoing formative assessment to track child development, tailoring next steps to meet individual needs.
• Collaborative Partnership: Work closely with EYFS teaching assistants, the nursery team, and the SENDCo to provide seamless support.
• Parental Engagement: Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's learning journey.
  We are looking for someone who:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Has a deep understanding and passion for the EYFS framework and early child development.
• Is an excellent communicator who can inspire children, motivate staff, and engage parents.
• Brings energy, creativity, and a sense of fun to the classroom.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
